PAN FRIED TOMATO 

No Onion No Garlic

Does not contain nuts and seeds

Serves: 2 people

A quick five minutes recipe for those lazy to cook days.

Ingredients:

Tomatoes (Hybrid Variety) - 3

Rice Flour - 2 tablespoons

Besan or Gram Flour- 1 teaspoons

Salt - As needed

Red Chilli Powder - 2 teaspoons

Oil  -  to shallow fry

Procedure:

  1. Chop tomatoes into thick circles. Make sure to use hybrid tomatoes. The desi variety doesn't hold shape of the vegetable.

  2. Add salt, red chilli powder, gram flour, rice flour in a bowl and mix well till all the powders assimilate.

  3. Dip the tomato circles in this powder mixture on both sides. We should not make a batter out of the masalas added. The juice on the chopped tomatoes help in holding the masala.

  4. Heat up a dosa tawa. Apply thin layer of oil with a brush.

  5. Place the  the tomatoes on the pan.

  6. Roast the tomatoes on both the sides. 

  7. They cook very fast. Check for that crispy outer layers. Once tomatoes go brown on both sides remove them from heat and serve.
